#1: This Is Skippy
2-2-04
Hello and welcome to my nightmarish world... also today is Groundhog's day!! I think I did a groundhog's day comic once...
I just looked around for it and couldn't find it, so I probably lost a few comics, but so what!! They probably sucked, hehe. Or something.
Anyway here's the first one, "This Is Skippy". That's the main character, Skippy!! I called the comic "Skippy" for a long time but when I decided to publish the comic (finally!!) I knew it was time for a new name. There are two reasons for this:
So now it's called Freedom Fries, which is a good name, don't you agree?
I started this right after I drew a few Jesus related comics which I put up in the Extras section. Nothing much to say about. One thing that comes to mind is that the way Skippy's arms stick out was based on a Dilbert comic saying all new employees stick their arms out like that, or something. I don't think he keeps his arms like that for too long. Now he has them to his side. Yep...
Anyway I'm gonna work on the site and do stuff, I know enough HTML to make it somewhat nice...
Also, if you were wondering, since this first comic my artistic abilities have improved somewhat (drawing hundreds of comic strips will have that effect) and my joke-making ability thing has improved a lot!!! So if you don't like this one and the other old ones then check back in the fun fun future and maybe you'll like them more!
And one last thing, YES I will be updating the comic DAILY unlike a lot of sites I see that keep giving excuses for not having their comics. Shame on them!!
LC out.
